Camping aficionados surely have invested in different camping gears and accessories. But a new camper may not be familiar with all the necessary equipments. Tents, food and camping clothes are not the only effects one has to bring to survive the night in the outdoor. As a new camper, there are other essential camping accessories that must be brought along.

First-aid kit - Specialty outdoor shops have stocks of prepacked first-aid kits. But you can also prepare your own kit. Just be sure that in your kit you have calamine lotion for insect bites, band aids, anti-allergy medicines, pain relievers and other emergency drugs - such as those for loose bowel movement and fever. Alcohol and bandages are also important.

Knives - You can start with the knives as your initial purchase. It is better to acquire one that is foldable. But if you have the budget, you can invest on a multitool gadget. The set does not only have knives but other emergency tools like screw driver, bottle opener, pliers, wire cutters and others.

Torch - This is very important - the outdoors can be very dark at night, especially on those places where there is no electricity. It lieu of torch, you can bring a headlamp or a flashlight. You should also bring extra batteries for the lighting equipment.

Ice packs - Your icepacks should be totally frozen and you can place them inside the cooler which you are to bring along. This will bring the temperature low and your beverages can be made cold.

Groundsheet - This will provide you comfort as well as protection for your tent. This also provides additional barrier between you and the ground whenever you are inside the tent.

Dining utensils - Bring with you plates, spoons, forks, cutlery and mugs which you are to use when eating outdoors.

Portable stove - This will enable you to cook your meal or at least to heat prepared meal which you have brought along. Do not forget the propane of your gas stove otherwise you will not be able to run your portable cooker.

Pots or pans - This will be the pair of your portable stove in cooking your meals. Aluminum are light weight so they are the practical types to use in camp cooking.

Water bottles - From outdoor stores, you will find special kinds of water bottles - those that are useable for both cold and hot drinks. Whatever the size of your water bottle, be sure to bring one small and handy bottle which you can carry around. Hydration is important for a camper.

When going on an outdoor camping, first make a checklist of what you have to bring. This will ensure that all the paraphernalia are complete. Anything amiss can spoil your outdoor camping.
