Brand new in 2009, the Efusjon Energy Club is a promising MLM company located in Oregon that provides a healthy option to traditional energy drinks. The energy drink market is the fastest growing segment in the health and wellness industry. It helps that the ex-Vice President for Microsoft and Paramount Pictures, Derek Broes, is one of the founders. The combination of Derek Broes with the CEO of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, adds to the hype. The purpose of this review is to examine the innovations in the Efusjon Energy Drink product offering and to evaluate the business opportunity for Efusjon.

The four Efusjon Energy drinks are arriving on the market somewhat late as the first energy drink alternatives emerged from an MLM company called Amway in 2002. The competition increases, however, as Mona Vie and Xango began later on in 2009. It is promising for Efusjon experts estimate energy drink sales to hit five billion for 2009, and they estimate sales to reach nine billion by 2011. On the negative side, companies including Sobe, Monster, Bawls, Rockstar, and Red Bull hold a significant portion of the energy drink market. While mainstream energy drinks may produce the desired effect at the cost of the consumer's health, efusjon delivers the vitamins and nutrients necessary for a healthy body. The RAW and EDGE drinks promise to deliver a high level of antioxidants as well as support the body’s metabolism. The Efusjon line of drinks keep the body from experiencing mental stress. Efusjon uses the Breeze drink to enhance energy during athletic activities. It consists of mangosteen, passion fruit, and caffeine. The fourth product, Dawn, has an abundant source of antioxidants and fights against fatigue, depression and anxiety. The Dawn drink uses quercetin, citrus, and caffeine as ingredients. All of the Efusjon drinks are carbonated with the exception of Dawn. Traditional energy drinks feature taurine and guarine. I personally find it surprising that Efusjon labels their drinks as healthy despite containing caffeine. However, I suppose it is in part the caffeine that classifies them as ‘energy’ drinks. Admittedly, Efusjon provides competitively priced energy drinks that are in high demand. While the Efusjon energy drinks face strong competition from established companies, the market is large enough and growing enough to support the inclusion of Efusjon.

Efusjon tweaked the typical MLM compensation plan in order to produce what they call 'The Overlap Matrix.' It pays the distributor 4.25% on his downline or anyone referred by him. It also pays 1.25% on all distributors referred through ‘The Overlap Matrix’ or their personal team members. The overlap matrix is more encompassing in its payout than most MLM compensation plans. The cost of joining the Efusjon Energy Club business is very affordable at merely $30. This includes the ability to purchase Efusjon products, as well as a website and Facebook marketing system. In order to qualify for payment, a member must recruit three people and maintain an autoship of 48 energy drinks at $120 plus shipping each month. While the Efusjon business has one of the lowest startup costs, it lacks the functionality to use a capture or squeeze page on the main page of the website. This increases the difficulty of obtaining affiliate sales commissions while using the Efusjon marketing system. Most importantly, Efusjon does not offer a stand-alone attraction marketing system. Efusjon does not include significant training necessary to succeed in an online MLM business. Without outside help, an Efusjon representative would be in poor condition to achieve a high level of success.

Efusjon is a company to watch in the upcoming months and years, and it certainly provides an excellent business opportunity for those who know what they are doing. A prospective Efusjon representative must ask himself the following questions: am I marketing the best product at the lowest price point? How does the product differ from the others? Also, are there better opportunities out there that suit my personal interests? Efusjon is a very viable solution, but a prospective marketer should first consider whether he possesses the knowledge and training to dominate Efusjon or any other company. Efusjon does not provide those; it is the responsibility of the business owner to make his business profitable.
